HOW CAN I JOIN ALPHA CHI OMEGA?
In the fall, you are able to sign up for primary recruitment to go through the process of joining a Greek organization through a mutual selection process. You can sign up by going to our "Recruitment" tab on the menu bar or by visiting lamar.edu/cpc.
WHAT DOES ALPHA CHI OMEGA DO FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS (DVA)?
In the Fall we have our annual Purple Out Month during the month of October (DVA Month). During Purple Out Month we have our annual Dessert Auction and we have small events throughout the month like tabling to educate people in our community. The funds that we raise throughout the week are donated to Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, Girl's Haven, and Family Services of Southeast Texas. In the spring, we host our Hugs and Pampers Drive, and we collect items to give to our local women's and children's shelters.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE A CERTAIN GPA TO JOIN?
Yes, incoming members must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. We require each member to maintain a cumulative GPA of a 2.8.
