Alpha Chi Omega’s Gamma Phi chapter at Lamar University was founded on November 15, 1956. Ever since then, it has been noted that Alpha Chi Omega stands apart from other Greek organizations for it’s focus on academic interest, financial responsibility, character, leadership ability, and personal development.
ABOUT GAMMA PHI
The open motto of the sorority is “Together Let Us Seek the Heights.” We strive to seek the heights in everything we do. Gamma Phi was awarded the "Chapter Excellence Award" at this year's Greek Awards Banquet. We were also honored to be nationally recognized for receiving the award for Seeking the Heights in Chapter Relations and Standards.

“When I joined Alpha Chi Omega I knew I was going to take lots of cute pictures and attending weekly meetings because that is essentially what a sorority is. What didn’t know was that I was going to meet some of the most beautiful and inspirational women I have ever met. I had no idea I was going to be surrounded my women who constantly putting in all their efforts into supporting our philanthropy. I love knowing that my sisters will always have my back and support me to take on leadership roles. I love that I can truly be myself around every single one of my sisters. I’m also thankful for this organization that is making me a Real Strong Women that I am today!”
